Cissbury Players

A theatrical group which performs three times a year, March July and November. The group welcomes everyone as members both acting and non-acting. There are plenty of places for non-acting members in the production of the group's four plays. The group rehearses twice a week.

Findon Cricket Club

Meetings are held at the Cricket Ground, at Long Furlong, for practice and matches. Established 1867. Has three teams playing Saturday and Sunday matches. League cricket on Saturday and occassionally on Sunday. 1st & 2nd elevens play in the Sussex Invitation League. Aims to promote colts cricket and has six colts teams with an age range from under 9's to under 16's. Has recently extended the pavillion where there is a bar and where various social events are held. New members, playing and social, most welcome.

Findon Village Pre-school

This Ofsted-registered pre-school is located behind the Village Hall in Findon High Street and is for children aged 2 to 5 years. Sessions run every weekday morning between 9h15 and 12h00 noon, during school term time, with lunchtime clubs for over-threes. Findon Village Gardens Association

The association meets monthly. Although the subject of the speaker is usually horticulture, once or twice a year it is a topic of general interest. The December meeting is the Association's social evening. Both a Spring and a Summer flower show is held at the Village Hall. The best village garden competition is judged prior to the Summer Show. Each year or two or three visits are made to gardens in surrounding counties. Meets last Friday of each month at 19h30 in the Village Hall.

Findon Village Preservation Association

Independent group of villagers run by a committee who meet quarterly. Aims to maintain standards within the village by taking an active interest in village life and any decisions that may affect the community. Subscription 50p per year. Annually organizes a stall at the Village Fete and has a social evening in November in the Village Hall where everyone is welcome.

Lambs Tails Playgroup

Lambs Tails parent and toddler group meets at Findon Village Hall on Thursdays between 10h00 - 12h00 noon. It is run by a committee of parent volunteers for everyone with children of pre-school age. We hope that all families, including grandparents, will feel welcome and will find activities to interest both the children and the grown-ups, including age-appropriate crafts and a programme of visiting speakers/businesses. The weekly cost is £1.5 per child which includes unlimited teas and coffees and healthy snacks for the children. Please do contact us if you have any queries, or simply turn up and join us!
